A laptop needs regular cleaning – this will help our equipment function longer. See how to do it and what to use to clean your laptop.
Many people forget about regular maintenance or clean their laptops the wrong way and as a result their parts can become damaged. See how to clean your laptop properly.
First of all, never start cleaning your laptop when it’s on. Firstly, unplug it from the power supply and remove the battery to avoid the risk of damaging the laptop or, in worse cases, electrocution or fire.
Do not use detergents used for cleaning household surfaces to clean laptops. They can cause micro-damage to the surface of the laptop. Use a dry microfiber cloth to wipe off dust. If the screen is very dirty, use a special screen cleaner
To clean the screen, use a microfiber cloth sprayed with the aforementioned screen spray or special moistened cloths designed for cleaning screens. When using a screen spray, remember not to soak the screen and not to spray directly onto the screen.
To clean the keyboard, it is best to use a soft brush to thoroughly wipe all the keys several times. For heavier dirt, you can again use a screen cleaner – other detergents could wash away the markings on the keys. The spaces between the keys are best cleaned with compressed air. We do not recommend that you disassemble the keys yourself – you may end up breaking them or damaging the structure under the key
