The space between tiles gets dirty easily. Grease can settle on it in the case of kitchens, or mold can grow on it in the bathroom. How to clean grout effectively?

To clean grout we can use ready-made products designed specifically for this purpose or use home-made ingredients to create effective cleaning preparations.

Baking soda and vinegar for dirty grout

Baking soda is an effective way to clean dirty grout. Just mix a packet of baking soda and 100 ml of water. You can also add a dash of vinegar. Apply this mixture on the grout for about 30 minutes and then scrub the dirty spots with a cosmetic brush. You can wipe the residue with a cotton cloth. Finally, rinse the grout with clean water.

Other home remedies for dirty grout

To clean grout we can also use several other substances available at home. These include, for example:

  • baking powder – sprinkle it on the grout and leave it for several minutes, then follow the same steps as with soda;
  • toothpaste – put sometoothpaste on a brush and scrub the grout with it, then rinse everything with water;
  • Coca-Cola – pour a little bit of the beverage on the grout or spread it with a cloth, after 15 minutes thoroughly wash the tiles with warm water.
